Sales and Support Engineer

Headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, CinemaPlus is looking to hire a part-time to full-time sales and support engineer to assist with both internal and customer related inquiries.

CinemaPlus is a software development company that specializes in administering online movie ticket and concession sale for exhibitors across the US. This position is a remote work environment working online with a team of professionals to help grow our business. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Interface with customers via email, Slack and telephone.
• Troubleshoot issues presented by customers and implement solutions quickly.
• Resolve basic website updates as requested by customers.
• Work with senior team members to provide solutions and recommendations to prospects during the sales cycle.
• Ability to create and maintain web pages using HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with the Tailwind CSS framework a plus.
• Comfortable with interpreting structed data in JSON and/or XML format.
• Ability to look up data in a database using SQL queries.
• Knowledge of PHP, with at least the ability to read and follow code that has already been written.
• Work closely with team members with a positive attitude, sense of urgency and strong work ethic.
• Provides information to team members by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Take direction from senior team members to prioritize work assignments.
• Detail and goal oriented.
• Protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Education, Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in or working toward majors in Computer Science, engineering and/or related technical discipline.
• Working experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, JSON and XML.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for code standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Ability to analyze information, apply general programming skills to identify and solve problems.
• Ability to create and maintain web pages using HTML and CSS.
• Problem solving skills.
• Software development fundamentals, development processes and system requirements.
• Teamwork and work ethic.

Work Hours and Environment:

This position allows for the sales and support engineer to work remotely at their location of choice. Our team is connected to Slack, and it’s expected the candidate will monitor all messages as they relate to their position. When related issues, support and/or help is required, the engineer will be available and quickly respond to the notification message in Slack. Furthermore he/she will promptly begin digging into the solution and communicate with both the customer and internal staff that action is being taken.

Working hours are flexible for projects that do not need immediate customer attention. Work hours will begin in a part-time capacity and as seen appropriate will increase based on the quality of work and the number of available projects, assignments, and task to complete.
